TJC's Annual Celebration of the Arts
Arts Festival is a month-long celebration of the arts that takes place every April. This event is a collaboration of The Bell Tower Arts Journal, International Day, the Tyler Museum of Art, and various TJC departments.
Arts Festival
TJC Arts Fest is an annual collaboration of the College’s art, music, theatre, communication studies, dance, visual communications, and honors departments, as well as The Bell Tower Arts Journal, International Day, and the Tyler Museum of Art.
Held each year throughout the month of April, Arts Fest offers a variety of events, including performances, exhibits, student film screenings, guest speakers and more, at various times and locations across the TJC campus and at the museum.
Student involvement is key to the festival’s success; and each year, a competition is held among TJC students, to create an original Arts Fest logo. This year’s logo design winner is Haley Wilmeth, a TJC game and simulation graduate from Tyler. Wilmeth is now working on her associate degree in art.
TJC’s 32nd annual International Day will be held Tuesday, April 16, in the Apache Rooms of Rogers Student Center. In addition to an up-close look at music, food, and customs from around the world, the event will also include an opportunity for visitors to renew or apply for U.S. passports.
All Arts Fest events are open to the public, but tickets are required for some performances.
