Phlebotomy
As a phlebotomist, you'll be a vital member of the clinical laboratory team whose function is to obtain a patient's blood specimens for testing purposes. Phlebotomists are employed throughout the healthcare system including in hospitals, neighborhood health centers, medical group practices, HMOs, public health facilities, veteran hospitals, insurance carriers, and other healthcare settings. Our Phlebotomy Technician Program will prepare you to collect blood specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. You will become familiar with all aspects related to blood collection and develop comprehensive skills to perform venipunctures.

In-Person Program
Get hands-on experience and clinical training at the Regional Training and Development Complex (RTDC) located at our TJC West Campus. The program includes lab exercises, live blood draws, working with a training arm, and other exercises intended to prepare students to function as an entry-level Phlebotomy Technician.
Online Program
With our Online Phlebotomy Technician program, you'll gain access to 24/7 instructor support and course mentoring, national and state certification opportunities, and engaging labs, student exercises, course videos, and animated simulations. The course covers key skills needed for a career in Phlebotomy, such as the process and procedures for collecting blood specimens for laboratory analysis, the order of draw, and terminology and related anatomy and physiology.
