What is the MAP system?
Baylor University uses a four-year planning guide called MAPs (Major Academic Planners) to help students summarize information about majors and the basic academic requirements needed to graduate. Most MAPs for the majors available with Baylor Bound accommodate a 1+3 year plan. For example, a student would take one year of courses at Tyler Junior College and three years at Baylor. However, some students may be approved by the academic advisor to follow a 2+2 year plan at the end of their first year, depending upon the major chosen and the number of transfer credits or credit by exam hours completed prior to enrolling in Baylor Bound.
