Unfortunately, less than 11 percent of substance abusers receive proper treatment for their addiction. As a Human Services graduate, you can help change that by counseling those affected by drug and alcohol addiction.
Addiction Counseling
Addiction counselors are professional counselors that provide individual counseling, group counseling, and educational services to individuals and families experiencing the effects of alcohol and drug abuse addictions.
