The Tyler Junior College Student Senate will host a voter registration drive 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, in the Apache Rooms, located in Rogers Student Center.
Students and the public are invited to attend, register and learn more about upcoming elections. Refreshments will be served.
The event is part of a statewide initiative by the Texas Junior College Student Government Association.
“We’re holding this event during the usual time of our student assembly meeting,” said Lauren Tyler, TJC director of student life. “This is a great way for our students to learn about the election process.”
TJC Student Senate Vice President Griselle Esparza said, "We are excited to hold this drive to facilitate registration for students and help to change the low voter turnout in Texas."
