TJC has made its Real Estate Certificate program more convenient with additional classes and new schedule options.
Students may now begin the program in either the fall or spring semester and still complete the coursework in the prescribed sequence. Students wishing to complete the required courses in one semester are able to achieve that goal as well.
In addition, a new course has been added which will provide students who were unable to complete the internship due to time constraints, with an alternative path to complete the requirements for the Real Estate Certificate.
TJC’s certificate in Real Estate Management began in Fall 2015 with 23 students and the program has continued to gain interest as 44 students are enrolled three years later. The program offers a broad-based knowledge of core areas within the real estate field including real estate law, contracts, mathematics, finances as well as the basic principles of real estate. Successful graduates will have completed all course work required by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) and be ready to take the licensing exam.
Real Estate Coordinator and Professor Charles Cowell said, “TJC’s real estate program prepares individuals to become independent business professionals in the real estate field. By making adjustments to our courses and schedules, we are able to provide a more convenient path for those with busy schedules.”
