TJC is offering 10-day (March 10-19) and 14-day (May 19- June 4) travel-study tours in Greece.
Greece has one of the longest histories of any country and is considered the cradle of Western civilization, having been the birthplace of democracy, Western philosophy, art, Christianity, medicine, the
Olympic Games, Western literature, languages, political science, major scientific and mathematical principles, mythology and drama, including both tragedy and comedy.
Designed to enrich the American public’s knowledge of early Christianity, archeology, and the ancient civilizations, the tour will offer travelers the opportunity to develop their own respect for the history and beauty of Greece, but above all come to love her vibrant and welcoming people.
The cost for the 10-day tour is $1,790 for the land portion, plus airfare. A deposit of $790 is required by Nov. 1. Full payment is due by Jan. 3.
The cost for the 14-day tour is $3,265 for the land portion, plus airfare. A deposit of $1,265 is required by Jan. 3. Full payment is due by Feb. 2.
The fee covers: double-occupancy room in four-star hotel; ground transportation; entrance fees; two meals per day; professional, English-speaking tour guides; and all taxes, tips and fees.
Participation is open to the public. Enrollment after the deadlines will be on a first come, first served basis.
Free information sessions will be offered 9 a.m. Saturdays, Nov. 5 and Feb. 4, in Room 213 of the Ornelas Health & Physical Education Center on the TJC main campus. The sessions are open to the public.
