TJC music groups Harmony & Understanding and Jazz Ensemble II present this year’s Pops Concert, themed “Old Time Rock ’n’ Roll,” in celebration of TJC’s 90th anniversary.
The program is a retrospective of the last nine decades in popular music, ranging from Irving Berlin and Cole Porter to the modern works of Queen and Michael Jackson.
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 17 and 18, on the TJC main campus. Admission is free.
Music director is Andrea Trent, Harmony & Understanding director and TJC professor of voice. Jazz band director is Dr. Steven Meier, TJC assistant director of bands. Choreography is by Shelby Anderson Moy.

Stage crew includes Bryce McWilliams and Whiteside, set design, lighting and sound; with sound reinforcement by Rosewood Studios.
