Tyler Junior College is offering additional walk-in registration and financial aid events during the first week of the spring semester.
Spring classes begin Monday, Jan. 11, and run through Wednesday, May 5.
TJC also offers two eight-week mini-terms, with the first set for Monday, Jan. 11, through Friday, March 5, and the second from Monday, March 15, through Wednesday, May 5.
Financial Aid Finish Line events
TJC will hold a series of events for students who need last-minute assistance with completing their financial aid requirements so they can register and/or pay for their spring classes.
The Financial Aid Finish Line will be held Tuesday-Friday, Jan. 12-15, in White Administrative Services Center at the following times:
• 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
• 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday
“Our staff has created a way for students to receive expedited financial aid processing by participating in this event,” said Devon Wiggins, TJC director of financial aid.
Wiggins said students must check their financial aid status in TJC’s Apache Access web portal for a list of documents they will need to bring with them.
Registration Rally events
Walk-in advising and registration will be offered Monday-Friday, Jan. 11-15, at the following times in the White Administrative Services Center on the TJC main campus:
• 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
• 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday
Health and safety guidelines will be followed, with face coverings and 6 feet of physical distancing required, room occupancy monitored and the room frequently sanitized.
“For those who are not already TJC students, we will also have staff on hand to assist them with starting the admissions process,” said Claire Mizell, TJC director of admissions.
