Registration is open for TJC’s Winter Term, a three-week, all-online session set for Dec. 18-Jan. 9.
Courses offered include art appreciation, algebra, criminal justice, English composition, government, history, music appreciation, psychology, speech, statistics, trigonometry and more.
The term will pause for holiday breaks on Sunday and Monday, Dec. 24 and 25, and Monday, Jan. 1.
“This is a great opportunity for students who are off for holiday break, or even students from other colleges who are home during the holidays, to take a course at an accelerated pace,” said Kim Lessner, TJC vice president for operations.
“Considering students are taking a full-credit course condensed into just three weeks, Winter Term is very intensive. For students who are highly motivated, this is a great opportunity to get ahead on their degree plan and path to graduation.”
According to data from previous years, students who take TJC’s Winter Term courses tend to complete their courses at a higher rate — and make higher grades — than those in regular semesters.
