For its next production of the season, Theatre TJC explores Herman Melville’s seafaring epic, “Moby Dick,” described as “a harrowing and intoxicating exploration of revenge, obsession and destiny."
Adapted for the stage by David Catlin, the play invites audiences to climb aboard the “Pequod” with Ishmael, Starbuck and an intrepid crew on a voyage into the darkest reaches of the human psyche as an insatiably driven Captain Ahab drags them into his reckless pursuit of the legendary white whale.
The production is under the direction of Denise Weatherly-Green, TJC theatre professor.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, Feb. 28-March 1, and 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2, in Jean Browne Theatre on the TJC central campus.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors ages 65 and up, students and active military. The TJC Box Office opens Wednesday, Feb. 21. Box office hours are 1-6 p.m. weekdays. Daily box office operations are in the Rogers Palmer Performing Arts Center, with evening operations in the lobby outside Jean Browne Theatre. For reservations, call 903-510-2212.
